1. Can you introduce yourself and Starlight Candle?
My name is Amy and I started The Starlight Candle Company in 2017. I live in a small town in the UK with my husband, Jac.

2. How was Starlight Candle born? How did you start?
I received a candle making kit for Christmas back in 2016 from my husband and I just fell in love with making candles. Jac encouraged to start selling what I make as they were really good! I worked full time so there wasn’t too much risk financially. I tested everything vigorously for quality and safety purposes. I started with small amounts of stock and slowly grew.
3. What makes Starlight Candle different? Can you explain your products with details?
I’m always inspired by my favourite music and movies, I’m a big geek at heart. I decided early on in the business I wanted this to reflect in my products so all my scent names are inspired by song lyrics or movie quotes. I make soy wood wick candles and soy wax melts, reed diffusers and room sprays. My wax melts can be used in traditional tea light burners or electric burners. Reed diffusers are great if you don’t want a flame or any melted wax – customers with young children or pets often go for this product. Room sprays are a quick fix to mask any unwanted smells or to freshen up a room.
4. What reactions do you get from your clients? Do they love your products?
I get amazing feedback from my customers – they are very loyal to Starlight. I’m very lucky to have such a wonderful group of customers. They will often highlight the quality of scents, how pretty the products look, the customer service they receive and a lot of my customers love the unique scent names!
5. What are the advantages of Starlight Candle?
There’s just something about having a candle lit that just oozes calm and relaxation. A wooden wick crackling away just adds to the atmosphere. A lovely smelling home is welcoming too; and often a talking point. Everything is handmade by me, it’s my passion and I put so much care into every detail. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Starlight.
