After many years of attending short courses and experimenting with different materials in 2009 I came across the lost wax technique and found (totally surprise myself) that I had a talent for sculpting wax! .That was a turning point and when I realised that I could make a business out of something I love doing. Since then I have been developing my confidence and entrepeneurial skills to grow my business.

3. What makes Morera different? Can you explain your products with details?

Morera is essentially my view of the world. My work reflects my interets and personality, including art, esculpture, literature and nature.
I work mainly using the lost wax technique, I start by carving a special jeweller’s wax with carving tools and heat and then cast the piece in different metals (sterling silver, brass, bronze, etc) . The end product is like a mini esculpture.
I also work with patina bringing colour to some of my pieces. Both black and greens/blues over copper or brass.
I am currently experimenting with enemeling to bring more colour to my pieces.

4. What reactions do you get from your clients? Do they love your products?

Trading at markets gives me the advantage of seeing people’s reaction and I m glad to say that I always get smiles and surprise when people see the detail in my pieces and they love it!
Exposing my work at markets, shops and on social media has lead to several commission. These commissions have turn into repeated work that has allowed me to built a trusted client base that validates the quality of my work. Knowing that people value my unique perspective gives me the confidence to continue working and finding new avenues for artistic growth. I’ve been overwhelmed by the response of my clients. Jewellery can be a powerful item when made as a one off piece and sentiment is added to it.

5. What are the advantages of Morera?

My work is unique and made with lots of time patience and skill and therefore something to be treasure that will last for a life time and beyond.
