1. Can you introduce yourself and Munde Home?

My name is Deep Munde and I am the founder of Munde Home. Born and raised in London, England, I studied economics and finance, after finishing I decided to head in a different direction, taking a job in sales in the family business, a bathroom retailer, planning and installation service business.
I grew up wanting to be a car designer and come from a family of engineers and entrepreneurs – my father worked in electrical engineering, and my grandfather was a mechanical engineer, and both owned their own businesses.
From a young age, I developed a love for design and fashion from my mother, who was always impeccably dressed – even at home on a movie night. She introduced art to me and encouraged me to develop my creative side in my childhood, where I would draw every day. As a teenager, I would explore the different areas of London every weekend, visiting galleries, luxury fashion and streetwear stores. My favourite places were the Carnaby and Old Bond streetwear and luxury fashion stores and visiting the National Gallery with friends.
Munde Home is an online retailer of home decor, tableware and lighting, specialising in affordable, high quality items.
As the brand founder, I am entirely customer-obsessed and passionate about helping others live beautifully.

2. How was Munde Home born? How did you start?

I found myself wanting more creative control over designing and planning, and after a great ten-year experience, I left the family business in 2019.
When redecorating my apartment, the excitement quickly wore off when I found myself frustrated and uninspired by the high street and the selection of pieces available, which represented fine craftsmanship and high-quality materials.
Spotting a space in the market for luxury interior home decor with an affordable price point, I decided to launch a brand in a digital space, to create an experience in which it’s easy to discover products you love. Fuelled by an entrepreneurial spirit and with insight into the design and retail world through the family business, in 2020, I launched Munde Home – a destination for luxury design enthusiasts to discover and shop beautiful products.

3. What makes Munde Home different? Can you explain your products with details?

I wanted to combine influences from my upbringing in London and heritage, with a commitment to detail, technological innovation and a desire to push new ideas forward. Focusing on craftsmanship, fine materials and sustainability, the brand presents lighting, tableware and home decor collections that seek to unite technical innovation with human touch and beautiful aesthetics.
We work with leading specialists in advanced manufacturing processes to ensure our customers receive products they feel hold good value, are engineered to last and most importantly make them smile.

4. What reactions do you get from your clients? Do they love your products?

It’s been an incredible reaction; customers have been extremely happy with our products. In just under a year, we now have customers in both domestic and commercial markets. Our products have been supplied to customers not only in the U.K. but also to homes and commercial spaces in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Portugal, Netherlands, Mauritius and Dubai.
Munde Home has become popular with interior lovers with our hand finished tableware, textured cushions and elegant chandeliers being our most popular.

5. What are the advantages of Munde Home?

The advantage of Munde Home is our commitment to push new ideas forward, a commitment to detail and technological innovation. The manufacturing partnerships we have in place have been in their respective fields for decades and some even centuries; they lead and excel in what we believe in – modern and evolving standards of craftsmanship.
