1. Can you introduce yourself and Savara Intimates?
Hi! I’m Eva, 26 years old and I founded Savara Intimates. I studied Finance, but after working a few months in a large company I realized this wasn’t the perfect job for me. That when I started Savara Intimates. Savara means glowing from within. We support this natural glow by creating sustainable lingerie. We focus on the feeling of women wearing lingerie. Our purpose is to create a bra revolution to make the planet smile. Our designs are made to look stunning, while preventing overconsumption. We realize this with socially responsible production, sustainability in the heart of our business and truly transparent communication to customers.
2. How was Savara Intimates born? How did you start?
I have the strong belief that it’s possible to create anything you want. And I felt that lingerie struggles could (and should) be different. I daydreamed about starting a company with a positive impact on the world. A company in which I could create something beautiful. One night I drew some ideas and started sewing. I was blown away by the energy this gave me. And that’s where Savara intimates started. From that point, I started thinking about the business side, created a website and soon after, launched the brand. Initially I made the lingerie myself at home, but the demand was beyond my expectations (and capacity) from the first moment we were live, so I started working with a production facility. That’s where we are now!
3. What makes Savara Intimates different? Can you explain your products with details?
The difference with conventional lingerie is the flexible sizing of the bra’s. With our sizing system, multiple traditional cup sizes come together in one size. Having some fluctuations in size due to hormones or weight lost/gain will be all fine. No need to buy a new item, because the fabric will embrace the new size. In this way customers can enjoy your items more often and better, so we can prevent overconsumption together.
Strap options give the opportunity to create complete different looks. And most importantly, we source materials sustainable and the production is taking place in Europe (Latvia) in a fair way.
4. What reactions do you get from your clients? Do they love your products?
The fit and design is new for everyone, so I was a bit nervous to the reaction of customers in the beginning. But happily the customers really love it. We receive many reviews saying that they don’t want to change back to their ‘normal’ lingerie ever again and that they absolutely love it. I believe that’s the driving force behind the brand; a product that’s really making a difference, resulting in happy customers.
5. What are the advantages of Savara Intimates?
The flexible sizing allows customers to buy 1 bra that’s fitting for a long time. Also, we’re completely selling online, making is accessible for everyone in the world. The footprint of the products is very small compared to conventional lingerie, as we’re doing it the sustainable way and as local as possible. Most importantly, women feel feminine and confident again in their lingerie.
