1. Can you introduce yourself and Scarlt?
I am Nancy El Khatib, founder and CEO of Scarlt.com
Scarlt is an e-commerce fashion platform that offers a wide variety of handpicked high quality yet affordable dresses to women in UAE and across the region.
2. How was Scarlt born? How did you start?
As an expat living in UAE, it was always hard to find the right dress for occasions specially in Summer 2019 when my friends and I had several occasions to attend to, we couldn’t find a high quality and affordable dress. We had to go to several stores and malls in search for the perfect dress. This is where the idea came from and I started researching dresses and contacting suppliers in January 2020, because of that and after a long journey of hard work Scarlt launched in June 2020 amid Covid19 crisis.
3. What makes Scarlt different? Can you explain your products with details?
Our website is a one stop e-shop for dresses, includes a wide variety of high-quality dresses for different occasions. Scarlt offers dresses under many categories such as: Casual, party, formal and evening dresses.
We are aware that women tend to wear evening dresses once or twice to an occasion and this is why we believe that we have to offer affordable luxury. Basically, we offer women the dresses they deserve for the price they can afford.
4. What reactions do you get from your clients? Do they love your products?
We have been getting a lot of positive feedback from our clients specially that most of our dresses are unique and the quality is verified by me personally. They appreciate that I make sure they get what they see online, no surprises. Also, we are always trying to listen to our clients and see how we can provide them with a better experience. They are Scarlt’s top priority for sure.
5. What are the advantages of Scarlt?
Scarlt’s key advantage is having a user-friendly platform with fast dedicated delivery service. We work in a drop shipping method which allows us to keep minimal stock and have low operational costs, and this gives us an advantage and helps us scale faster.
