1. Can you introduce yourself and Shibusa?
Shibusa is a brand that makes high quality basic t-shirts from Supima cotton—the best cotton in the world. I’m Rishit, its founder, and although I’m really a finance guy, I’m passionate about design and making things.
2. How was Shibusa born? How did you start?
I personally love basic clothing and, except for special occasions, that’s pretty much all I wear. But I’ve always found it difficult to find good quality basics, so I thought I’d start something myself. I started with t-shirts because I love t-shirts and because they are (comparatively) easier to do.
3. What makes Shibusa different? Can you explain your products with details?
So our t-shirts are made from a cotton called Supima, which is grown in California and is considered to be the best cotton in the world. T-shirts made from this cotton are extremely soft and smooth and are unlike any other t-shirts you’ve ever worn. We also use the highest quality dyes in the world that won’t fade no matter how many times you wash the t-shirts. Besides these, we do a lot of other things as well like using special finishes on the fabric to make it even more soft and smooth, stitching the t-shirts with very high quality threads, and paying a lot of attention to the fit of the t-shirts. So when you buy a t-shirt from us, you’re buying a really, really good quality product.
4. What reactions do you get from your clients? Do they love your products?
Our customers absolutely LOVE our t-shirts! Our order return rate is less than 5%, which is unheard of in ecommerce and especially in the apparel industry.
